I am currently reading the book EVERLOST by SHUSTERMAN. I am about half way through. It gives a pretty interesting take on the life of being, well, dead. The story follows two kids who die in a tragic accident, and just as they are about to cross over into Heaven, they are pushed away. They become spirits stuck on Earth.
